Released on February 28, 2024, Ideogram 1.0 introduces game-changing features, allowing beginners or graphic designers to place text within images. This is perfect for start-ups or SME's with small budgets that require professional looking graphics. It is by far one of the best text on images generators I have tried, surpassing both Midjourney and Dall-E 3 for text on images. It's quick, versatile and has a high level of consistency for longer form text placement. It enables precise and accurate (most of the time) rendering for content creation, memes, posters, logos, t-shirt designs and more.

Ideogram has an easy to use interface and offers a range of ratio choices, for social media posts, banners or posters. It also has a range of style choices, including cinematic, painting, poster, illustration, 3D rendor, typography, photo and more. These styles come at the click of a button for quick creation. You can also add our own styles to reflect your company's brand aesthetic. If you're feeling low on ideas, Ideogram's magic prompt feature allows you to give a rough prompt outline and the magic prompt will fill in the rest.

How much does it cost?
Ideogram allows you to create 100 images (25 prompts ) per day for free. It's Basic Plan costs $7 per month (billed annually) allowing 400 images per day or the Plus Plan of $16 per month (billed annually) for unlimited daily images.
Ideogram 1.0 does not produce perfect text rendering every time, but considering the speed at which AI is improving, it probably won't be long before it does. Occasionally it misspells longer texts or adds unwanted words from the prompt into the image. With four image generations per prompt, I usually find one is spot on. Ultimately it's a great new tool for content creation, cheap and easy to use.
