Four of the Best AI Image Generators For Content Creation 2024

AI-Generated Imagery: A Fresh Approach to Content Creation

Using AI Image Generators for content creation is fun, frees up time, makes branding a doddle, and opens up new avenues of creative possibilities. I use AI image generators on a daily basis, keep up to date on changes, including newly added features, so I'm in a good position to give you an idea of what tools might work best for your particular project.

AI image generators remove the need to be proficient in complicated software applications like photoshop. They cut down on time you would have previously spent on the graphic design process, including placement of text and seeking out relevant stock photos for images. Now, you can achieve your desired outcome with a prompt. Granted it might take a few prompts and a number of tweaks to get there but the results are almost instant.

Four of the Best AI Image Generators 2024

Ideogram.ai  is one of the best for placing text onto images. You can be very precise about the positioning of your text and the kind and colour of the font. It has a range of styles, including, photo, illustration, and 3D. It is very accurate at producing images similar to the prompt even down to the tiniest details. You can choose a range of ratio options and remix a particular image you like to improve it. It has a magic prompt feature which means it will rewrite your prompt and elaborate on it, this is great to help you get creative and give you ideas. The one downside can be distortions in photorealist images that have a number of people or particularly complex photorealist images.

Ideogram currently provides users with 25 free image generations a day (100 images) or you can sign up for an annual cost of ( $7 per month)

Freepik.com creates images very quickly. On the paid programme it provides you with a plethora of images to choose from and allows for several styles and image ratios. It's a little harder to know what your going to get with your prompt as the images do not necessarily match up with it as precisely as they do with other AI generators. It's not very good at photorealistic images, creating distortions in faces and it doesn't have the same 'flare' or 'creativity' as other generators. I think it still has a bit of a way to go before I would use it on a daily basis. I want quite instant results with a fair idea of what I'm going to get from my prompt. Too much effort is too much time for me. Still, it's got some interesting new features like real time generation and is improving.

You get a daily allowance of 20 free image generations or it costs $19 per month for premium features and unlimited generations

Midjourney offers the highest level of creative versatility, not found in other generators, providing a large range of features so you can tailor your images to exactly how you want them. If you generate an image you like, you can change the ratio, zoom out, change an area of the image, add items to the image or improve distortions. Midjourney have also introduced a consistent character feature to help with visual storytelling or to create AI Influencers should you require them. Midjourney is known for creating aesthetically pleasing images with often visually stunning results. On the downside it hasn't quite cracked text placement as well as other generators, but this is likely to improve:

Midjourney costs a minimum of $10 per month for 200 generation. Or $30 per month for limitless generations.

Dalle-3 is a good all rounder. I find it lacks the photorealistic quality of Midjourney when it comes to portraits, creating slightly unnatural looking faces. It's excellent for business graphics and can really pull off some beauties with the right prompt. I use Dall-E 3 for most of the graphics on gimmie.ai It has recently introduced an in-painting feature, meaning you can now change particular areas of an image, this includes correcting text or putting a hat on a cat. It has a natural, underlying texture and can really pull off some stunning and complex images.

Dalle-3 can be accessed for free through Microsoft Bing/ Co-pilot. You will need a Microsoft account to use the free service. This gives you 15 fast generations a day and limitless slower (very slow) generations. You can also use Dall-E 3 if you have an open AI, Chat GPT Plus membership ($20 per month) with limitless creations.
